Don Kieffer has worked in and around operations for over 35 years. Over the course of his career he progressed from piece worker to executive. He spent 15 years at Harley-Davidson in Product Development, Powertrain Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement, serving as a VP and member of the executive team. He also served as Sr. VP of Operations at Intermatic, where he led manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and purchasing in North America and Asia.
Now, as Managing Partner of the Milwaukee Consulting Group LLC, his focus is creating sustainable, corporate-wide Continuous Improvement, with an emphasis on leadership and executive coaching.
In 2008 he was appointed Senior Lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Executive Program.
